Valentine’s day is important

Hello and welcome back to my blog.

I think because Valentine’s Day is fast approaching we should be talking about love.
I know this is going to be cliche and not new, but sometimes you have to tell someone what they already know, to remind them. So I’m going to tell you things you already know. Things that you hopefully have heard before.
Valentine’s Day is important because it’s a day to celebrate love. Some people would rather ignore its existence probably because they don’t like the supposed pressure that comes with it, so they make an excuse saying that you should just show your love every day. Well, guess what sometimes you need the pressure to remind yourself of important things in life.

The way I see it if you have to go to work every day, you put on your alarm and it puts pressure on you to get up on time and use the day productively. So why can’t you have a sort of alarm for something as important as love? Love is the most important thing in our life. We can be out here chasing money, fame, and climbing the corporate ladder but at the end of the day love is life. Therefore, if there’s a date that is dedicated to reminding us of the most important thing in life, then yeah, I love it. In my opinion, it is a great excuse to celebrate love universally.

I mean all kinds of love; the love you have with your parents, siblings, friends, children, and life partner. Cherish every single type of love you have because they are all important. It’s a day of love so it’s befitting to remember and celebrate all the love in your life and appreciate the people you have. Especially in this coronavirus era, you might not spend as much physical time as you would like with your loved ones but you should cherish every single moment you spend with them online. Speaking to them virtually is still better than not having them at all.
Again, love is life and life is important so I implore you to celebrate the day.

Also, remember to cherish yourself because self-love is important as well. Celebrating the day doesn’t have to be expensive. You can buy yourself a nice bottle of wine or chocolates or flowers or even takeout or you can have a nice luxurious bath. Also, try to treat the people you love if you can. It doesn’t have to be actual physical gifts, you don’t have to spend any money, you can just call them, spend some time with them or even text them. There are different ways of celebrating Valentine’s Day and yeah it’s necessary. Love is necessary. Love Is All we have at the end of the day, so celebrate it. I hope you have a great Valentine’s day and remember to cherish your loved ones.
My plans for Valentine’s day are: sending messages (and maybe making some calls) to family and friends, ordering Chinese takeout, and watching a nice swooning rom-com with a ton of popcorn.

You see? I told you from the beginning that I wouldn’t say anything new. It might be a bit cliche but sometimes cliche isn’t so bad.

Have a great rest of the week thank you for reading this post and hopefully see you here again next week Wednesday.

PS as usual the illustrations featured and all others that have been featured on my blog are all on my Etsy and Teespring stores.
